Private Nursing Services
Flagstaff Hill Medical Centre’s experienced nursing team provide some services privately (i.e. not claimable on Medicare).
The 4 Year Old Healthy Kids Check is a popular one-hour assessment and screening consult for parents wanting to ask questions and have their child's progress assessed. It is around this age that developmental and cognitive delays or concerns can be addressed.
Our skilled nursing team will spend time with you and your child to assess hearing, cognitive skills, eyesight, comprehension, immunisation, and general development during the appointment. If you or the nurse have any concerns following the assessment, you can then be referred to a follow-up appointment with your doctor.
The 4 Year Old Healthy Kids Check is billed privately and is not claimable through Medicare. The cost is $50.
We provide the convenience of a nurse home visit if required. You may want one of our Registered Nurses to visit you at home if you are unable to attend the practice. Wound dressings, injections, blood pressure, assistance with medications, and many other services are available.
A home visit by a nurse is billed privately and is not claimable through Medicare. The cost starts from $50 (depending on the length of consult and location).
