The Women’s Health Hub at Flagstaff Hill Medical Centre provides dedicated women’s health care in a respectful, inclusive and supportive environment.

Our clinic is led by Dr Lisa Walker and Dr Damilola Gawley, GPs with a special interest in women’s health.

We offer timely access to care, including:

• Same-week appointments for IUD/IUS procedures
• Urgent appointments for contraception and early pregnancy care

Women’s Health Services

Contraception

We provide personalised contraception advice tailored to your health, lifestyle and preferences. Your GP can discuss the full range of contraceptive options, including oral contraception and long-acting reversible contraception (LARC).

Services include:

• Contraception counselling and advice
• Emergency contraception
• Contraceptive implant insertion and removal
• IUD/IUS insertion and removal

Pregnancy Care

• Pregnancy testing and counselling
• Preconception planning
• Antenatal and shared pregnancy care

Medical Termination of Pregnancy

We offer medical termination of pregnancy for pregnancies under 9 weeks.

Our care is:

• Confidential, supportive and non-judgemental
• Focused on providing clear information about available options
• Supported with follow-up care, including telehealth where appropriate
• Inclusive of contraception discussion and commencement if desired

Many patients may be able to commence treatment on the same day or shortly after their initial appointment, depending on their individual circumstances.

• Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
• Endometriosis
• Individualised treatment and management plans

Menopause Care
